Management of the day-to-day programme finance and control processes, First Level Control and audit compliance in relation to EU funded projects.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Programme Financial Management.
  • Audit and Compliance.
  • Staff Management.
  • Liaison with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Working within a risk-based framework for the verification of claims from project promoters

The new PEACEPLUS programme will incorporate changes from the previous PEACE IV and INTERREG VA programmes in terms of claims processes. These will include:

Risk based Management Verifications will be conducted by external controllers in the PEACEPLUS Programme.

An internal Assurance Team will develop the Risk Based Sampling Methodology, and this will be applied to each partner report by the external controller. 100% verification will not be carried out, instead a sample of expenditure will be verified.

This Assurance Team will approve all external controllers through an approbation process, and in conjunction with other teams within SEUPB will guide and train the external controllers.
